The Australian Institute of Building
— Incorporated By Royal Charter

Founded in 1951, the Australian Institute of Building (AIB) is the leading institute for building and construction professionals, acknowledged for its ability to bring individuals together who share a common interest in improving the standing of the building profession and their career within Australia and overseas.

AIB plays an influential role in the policy debate, introducing changes to the commercial, technical and regulatory environment in which building professionals work. The Institute is also recognised as the accrediting body for universities and the Institute supports the Australian Young Builders Alliance.

AIB is proud of its role in promoting the exchange of information amongst individuals and accomplishes this through the Construct magazine, the Construct Newsletter and the Australasian Journal of Construction Economics & Building. Further, AIB has an extensive continuing professional development program in Australia and overseas, including the Construct Conference series.
