AIB Board of Management
Since 1997 the Council of the Australian
Institute of Building (AIB) has delegated full authority to manage
the Institute's affairs to an Executive Board of Management (simply
known as the Board).
Providing direction and guidance to the General
Manager the Board is responsible for setting general administrative
and policy direction and monitoring, through the General
Manager, the performance of the staff in carrying out such measures
required to meet the Board's policies and delivery of member services.
The Board also approves the formation and scope of national committees and is often required to endorse committee decisions in order to give effect to them.
The composition of the Board includes the National President (as
Chairman), the national Vice Presidents, the Immediate Past President
plus the General Manager, the latter being an ex-officio member.
