AIB Professional Excellence In Building Awards
— Award Categories

The Australian Institute of Building (AIB) recognises the work of building professionals through the AIB Professional Excellence In Building Awards. In past years professional builders have been rewarded for their work on a number of projects ranging from international sporting arenas to unusual residential developments and awards are made in the following categories:

Commercial Construction	Industrial or institutional projects values between:   -  Up to $2.5 million   -  $2.5 to $10 million   -  $10 to $50 million   -  $50 to $100 million   -  $100 million plus
Residential Construction	Housing, multi-unit or residential villages valued between:   -  Up to $2.5 million   -  $2.5 to $10 million   -  $10 to $50 million   -  $50 to $100 million   -  $100 million plus
Technology   & Innovation	Excellence in management and organisational technique of the process of construction of a project, which has taken an innovative approach to a meet a particular element of the project.
Environmentally   Sustainable   Development	Excellence in management and organisational technique of the process of construction of a project which has enhanced the quality of the built environment for the general community and promotes ecological sustainability.
Research &   Development	Individuals eligible for this category are those who can demonstrate their excellence in research and development of a building and construction concept, process or project.
General	Recognising the work of individuals within the building profession who can demonstrate their excellence in an area not otherwise covered by another award category.
