AIB-CPSISC
Student Scholarship
The AIB-CPSISC Student Scholarship provides an opportunity
for a second or third year university student studying a building
or construction management course to attend the Construct
2009 conference. The scholarship includes return airfares,
accommodation and a full registration for the conference.
The scholarship is awarded by the Australian
Institute of Building (AIB)
with support from the Construction
and Property Services Industry Skills Council (CPSISC).
It will be awarded to a second or third year student studying an
undergraduate degree in building or construction management and
who entered the degree program by articulation from a TAFE-sector
qualification.
The Construct
2009 conference which will next be held at Manly Beach,
Sydney over 26-28 February 2009. The scholarship includes return
air travel, accommodation and a full registration for the conference.
The AIB-CPSISC Student Scholarship provides the opportunities
for an undergraduate student to learn about changes to the commercial,
technical and regulatory environment in which building professionals
work. This is a key part of AIB’s mission.
The AIB-CPSISC Student Scholarship is sponsored by CPSISC,
the national body responsible for determining vocational education
and training learning outcomes. The CPSISC
has several projects underway to up-skill the building industry’s
workforce, streamlining articulation pathways between TAFE and university.
The scholarship criteria is based upon a student’s ability
to manage the different learning cultures that exist between TAFE
colleges and universities, and also their ability to support the
learning of their fellow students.
