Giving — Donations, sponsorship and bequests
There are a number of ways for individuals and organisations to support the work of the AIB Research and Education Foundation. The Foundation was established in 1968 as a result of a substantial gift and has continued since as a result of careful investment of the initial funds and also further donations from individual builders and the profession. Support for the foundation is often provided in the following means:
 |
Donations |
| Donations are often made by individuals and organisations who are seeking to assist the Foundation carry out a current project or who are simply seeking to minimise their tax liability. Donations can be made from as little as $2 to be tax deductible.* |

 |
Sponsorship |
| Past sponsors have supported the Foundation in its day-to-day duties and also to fund specific research projects or awards. Sponsorships are an attractive option for companies seeking to publicly reinforce their commitment to the building profession. |

Bequests — leaving something your will |
| Bequests allow individuals to make much larger gifts than they could during their lifetimes. This is particularly appealing to donors who want their gift to 'amount to something' but haven't had the means to make a substantial donation before. |
The most enduring gift is a bequest as it allow you to decide what your legacy will be and the kind of impact you have on the future. You can earmark your bequest for scholarships, programs, awards / prizes, facilities, or simply for use where most needed. But whatever you choose, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing that your gift will live on, providing support to the building profession for years to come — Just as you wanted — Just as you planned.
