As the leading organisation for professionals working within the building and construction industry the Australian Institute of Building (AIB) plays an important role in influencing the commercial, technical and regulatory framework in which the industry operates.  Issues relevant to members include the following:

Building professionals wishing to maintain an awareness with activities at at local level should consider involvement with their local AIB Chapter.  Participation at a local level is an excellent opportunity to develop contacts within the building profession and participate in the development of local building codes.
