Girls in Construction (NSW)
The AIB, in collaboration with the UNSW, undertook the second Girls in Construction (GIC) 5-day Camp on the campus of UNSW last week. Twenty girls from Sydney Girls High School and St Catherine’s took part, all of whom expressed enthusiasm and to be involved in an activity that may lead to a career in the construction industry. The girls overcame a number of challenges, as is the case with many or projects in the industry, with the use or mathematics and creative thinking, guided by Michael and Lisa, the two fantastic teachers from TAFE NSW. We now look forward to following up with sessions now being organised for next year and stage 2 of the GIC program. Thankyou to everyone who supported this great unitive and congratulations to all the girls that took part.
